Payment Methods

Paying should be the dullest part of an order. This page sets out what we take, who handles it, and what happens to your card details.

What we accept

You can pay for your order with any of the following:

• Shop Pay
• Visa
• Mastercard
• American Express
• Discover
• Diners Club
• Elo
• JCB
• UnionPay

The methods available to you are displayed at checkout.

Security of your details

Checkout runs over SSL/TLS encryption, and your payment is processed by Shopify Payments, which operates to PCI-DSS standards. Card numbers and payment credentials are handled directly by the processor: we do not store full card details on our servers, and nobody here ever sees them.

When your card is charged

Your payment method is authorised when you confirm the order, and the full order total is charged at that point. A confirmation email follows within a few minutes. If it has not arrived, check your spam folder, then write to support@astherlau.com.

Prices, tax and totals

Every price on this site is shown in US Dollars (USD). The complete cost of your order — the products plus any applicable sales tax — is displayed at checkout before you confirm anything, and standard shipping within the United States is free. There are no handling charges, no service fees and no surprise additions after the fact.

If a payment is declined

• Check that the billing name, address and postcode match the ones your bank holds.
• Confirm that funds or credit are available on the card.
• Look for a block from your bank on online or first-time merchants.
• Try a different payment method from the list above.

If none of that clears it, your bank or card issuer is the only party who can tell you why.
