The walls in our home have been pretty empty for years. One would imagine a photographer’s house will be filled with varieties of frames & artwork of photographs of the family, but alas, that’s so the opposite in our home.  Ironic but true! Remember my post on “10 Things I currently wish for” where I wished I’m a good home-maker? Well… I’m never good at decorating or making my home pretty like many women are born to do.

Well, by chance recently a fellow industry peer came & told me that he’s supplying canvas prints. So I decided to give it a try and ordered a few prints from him with the photos Haley in her 1st year with us. I’m very happy with the quality of the prints. Here’s how we displayed it on one of our wall in the house.

One thing I really like about the canvas prints from this supplier is that the prints are matted. Most canvas prints I’ve seen in the market are of glossy or very “plastic-ky” look. Hence, they don’t look too good if under a light source. As you can see from my samples here, you don’t see a “hot-spot” or shiny spots on the prints even after I turned on the wall light. FYI, I even used my camera flash for this image and the light didn’t reflect from the canvas cos they’re matted! Very eye-pleasing indeed.

Few days back, a few more prints was made for Little M’s home. The result was amazing.

Another feature that I really like about this product is that the tensioning wedges helps keep the canvas tight even after many years to come. Most canvas material will “relax” over time due to nature’s course. Humidity, heat, age…

ALP now offers canvas prints in our photography packages so that our clients will be able to “beautify” their home with their precious moments captured in prints!

There are several other little pretty things we’ve recently added into our services & packages, so I’ll try to find some time to post them up here soonest I can.

As for our availabilities for sessions, our March calendar is pretty filled up with the remaining weekdays in the processed of being booked. As for April, all weekends have been taken up leaving just a few more weekdays open. What’s even more exciting is that May is getting filled up pretty fast too! So do write in earliest you can to get your bookings done to avoid disappointment.

I’m still stuck in a long editing backlog & stress level is picking up but I’ll continue to try my best & deliver the most I could for now. In fact, ALP is in the midst of searching for help in the editing department, so if you’re an experienced digital artist with good command in Photoshop & looking to make some extra pocket money, please write in and let’s see how we can work something out for both parties.

March is also our birthday month, when both little Haley & I are going to celebrate our birthdays together (yes, I gave birth to her on my birthday ) so we’ve been pretty busy planning a beautiful party for Haley too. We’re really thankful for the many talented friends in our midst, from party planning & decorating to catering & baking. Gosh… we’re so looking forward to the big day!
