Today marks the beginning of World Breastfeeding Week 2010 and I’m taking this opportunity to announce an upcoming event which a few of my mommy-friends & myself are organizing in support of breastfeeding effort in our community.
Here are some details of the event.

One fine day, three SAHM (stay-at-home mothers) had a “calling” and decided to organize an interesting charity event together.
They share the same believes & support towards breastfeeding (they found each other in The Breastfeeding Advocates Network ) and decided it’ll be wonderful to do the event in conjunction with World Breastfeeding Week 2010. They went through lots of challenges searching for a venue but alas(!), Tropicana City Mall generously offered their hospitality to host this event in September 2010!
Along with a few other talented mommies, supporting sponsors, friends & families, they hope that this first-time event will be an annual agenda if this one succeeds in 2010.
EVENT’S OBJECTIVES:
- To raise awareness that the lack of breastfeeding affects the child, mother, and community
- To support mothers and women with homebase business; a social-community support to stay-home mothers to continue to care for their children at home
- To raise funds for World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA) & (maybe) Women’s Aid Organisation of Malaysia (WOA)
EVENT OVERVIEW:
- Date & Time:
- 24 ā 26th September 2010, (Friday ā Sunday)
- 10am to 9pm (Sunday ends at 6pm)
- Venue:

[02-08-10 | 4:03 PM]To me, breastfeeding is something wonderful, though at times it may be a little troublesome. It provides the great benefit of bonding between mother & child, cost savings (not for those brand fanatics though) and best of all great health to both mother and child.
I do hope that private and the public sectors do put in more effort into promoting breastfeeding, just like how they operate to support the handicaps.
What does Jozuana think about breastfeeding? Its a love affair that can never be erased from the thought. There is just simply no other way to really fall head over heels over the little tiny being previously occupying my belly.
[02-08-10 | 5:43 PM]I would say breastfeeding is the unity of both mummy and baby’s body, mind and soul.
[02-08-10 | 8:41 PM]Breastfeeding is a time of bonding between mother & baby. Also it helps soothe baby when she’s insecure or unwell. Although there are ’side effects’ such as engorgement, block ducts & pain, persistance do pay off as I know breastmilk is the best for my beloved baby
[02-08-10 | 11:38 PM]Hie, I am Jinelle. To me, Breastfeeding is an amazing gift to all mummies and babies. Both mummy and baby benefits from this gift of love. It increases bonding as well as contains the best nutrition nothing else can replace. Although there will be lots of tired times and sleepless night, it’s all worthwhile for our little precious baby!
[03-08-10 | 1:13 PM]Breastfeeding is a mother’s gift to herself, her baby and the earth. Mother’s milk, time-tested for millions of years, is the best nutrient for babies because it is nature’s perfect food. There are three reasons for breast-feeding: the milk is always at the right temperature; it comes in attractive containers; and the cat can’t get it!
[03-08-10 | 2:40 PM]Breastfeeding, simply the first the the most basic thing a mother should do for her new born regardless of if you are poor or rich! It’s something fair for everyone…… Mothers, you can do it if you determine to do it! Just that simple!
[05-08-10 | 10:51 AM]Breastfeeding….is the BEST THING that a mother can give to her precious baby!!!
[24-08-10 | 9:36 PM]There is no turning back once you miss it!!!
It is something that MONEY cannot BUY!!!
Breastfeeding, to me, is the essence of motherhood. It gives me a sense of fulfillment, makes me realize the importance of patience & gives me the strength of determination. It completes me as a mom!

[02-09-10 | 1:35 PM]Breastfeeding was a beautiful experience for me and my son, in spite of engorgement, sore nipples, and mastitis. It also makes myself more discipline to get good diet because good diet for me mean good diet for my son.
[04-09-10 | 11:43 AM]To me, breastfeeding is like a long term investment. For mommies: Less risk of getting female cancers etc; for babies: better immunity against illness etc
[09-09-10 | 2:26 PM]Breastfeeding = giving my baby the best nutrition he could possibly receive.
[12-09-10 | 1:04 AM]For me breastfeeding is not only abouve giving the best milk to my precious little girl but also the bonding between the both us during her feeds, that feeling is beyond words:)
[18-09-10 | 2:09 PM]Breastfeeding is a unique moment between me n precious little one when I am always knowing that I am trasfering the world BEST food to my little one through all my love and effort.
[19-09-10 | 12:01 AM]Although I breastfeed my little with tears for the first two months due to sore nipples and bleeding but practice make prefect! Me and my little one still enjoying the nursing moment, as I am giving the best and the healthiest food in the world to her and she is enjoying the comfort that I am giving to her.
